I'm a poet...Bet ya didn't know it!

Here is a couple poems I found I wrote in 2003.

"Colorado"

The water rushes down the rocky lined path,
As the wind blows enough to rustle my hair
Windows down, the sights unable to grasp
In awe, the beauty unable to speak, only stare.

Tall, jagged rocks to create this big mass
Roads wrap around, twisting and winding
Trees upon trees, large patches of grass
Hope to spot a treasure, perhaps a great finding

Wild animal expectations in search of a glimpse
No footprints or sounds, so I just sigh
As the sun goes down, falls the cloudy mist
The mountains fade into the night sky.

"Paradise"

Seagulls soar over the glistening water
In search of their catch for the day
Sand between my toes, i walk and ponder
So much time to think and relax. No words to say

A treasure.. a sand dollar, what a great find
Although the millions of creatures galore
All together they common with a bind
So divine and peaceful, who could ask for more?

Palm trees sway through the warm air
The sun beats down and kisses the sand
and warms my legs and all exposed bare
All is perfect, all around the gorgeous land

Drifting off to slumber in the netted hammock
Daydreaming of good times, body goes weak
Bad memories fade away, I put them on block
Ocean tides roll in, I take a quick peek.

This is the perfect area for me to unwind
Enjoying the great beauty and serenity around
Nature and landscape, so wonderful and kind
The atmosphere is paradise, no need for a sound.
